HKLS Visiting Malaysia Peninsula during Easter 2012

Coming Easter, we will go butterflying in Malaysia. We will be arriving on 3-Apr and leaving on 10-Apr. While we will be arriving very late on 3-Apr (or I should say 1am 4-Apr), we will stay at the airport overnight and pick up the car in the morning on 4-Apr.

While we only have 6.5 days for butterflying, I think it would be better to stick to two areas:

Bukit Fraser and surrounding area
Accomodation:
I assume we should stick to the resort there

Spots:
Other than the trails at Bukit Fraser, is there any spot near-by? (Hot spring, trail to water fall, ...)

Ipoh and surrounding area
Accomodation:
Any suggestion?

Spots:
I recall that there should be hot spring in this area. Would anyone tell me the name of the spots?

Other spots
Any suggestion to alternate spots are welcomed.

For Ipoh area I have a small guide here, there are several hotspring , with Kuala Woh being the most accessible and full of Rajah Brookes Birdwings.

We are considering spending a day or two around Lentang/Genting/Bukit Tinggi. We need some advices:

Any recommendation on the accommodation?
Where are the trails/spots?

Is it likely for us to see this butterfly?

Hi Onyx,

I had seen this magnificent butterfly, Agatasa calydonia calydonia (Glorious Begum) on four occasions, the locations in Malaysia are Kuala Kubu Bharu - Selangor, Cameron Highlands - Pahang, Tiara - Melaka and Lentang - Pahang. It attracks by faecal baits like fresh dog faeces, fish (tilapia) intestinal contents..etc.
