Beautiful shot on a pristine specimen!

Are you using fill-flash? A touch of fill will likely brighten up the main subject and bring out the finer details of the wings.

I have a spare EX580 , if you like, can loan it to you to check and explore what fill-flash can do.

Hi Sunny, thanks.
It was taken with my previous set of 550D/T180 with its built-in flash. Sunny day then, AV mode, F/5, 1/200s, ISO200.
I got a EX430 together with my new toy. let me try out more, may be i will try out your 580 at a later date :)
