1. Polytremis lubricans is right.(Note rayed appearance with the veins lighter;hindwing spots often obscure, or obsolete; forewing upper triangular cellspot confirmed ID).

2. Female Caltoris bromus (colouration too deep, note C. cormasa have a more evenly deeper & darker hindwing which contrast with the forewing, See below)
http://www.butterflycircle.com/checklist%20V2/CI/mugshots/Caltoris%20cormasa/Caltoris%20cormasa%20-%20Khew.jpg

3. Pelopidas assamensis is correct.

4. Borbo cinnara male. Forewing underside ochreous with hint of green;more obvious green hairs, spot in space 1b (below biggest spot) not seen in other males)

5.Caltoris philippina male.(Sharper forewing with lower margin more excavated;no upper cellspot; lighter ochreous scalings with hint of green.)

6. Male Caltoris bromus (Upper cellspot , general brown colour)

7. Not sure. No upper cell spot seen ?Caltoris malaya male.

8. Male Caltoris cormasa. (Note more evenly deeper-coloured redbrown hindwing; tiny upper cellspot.)

TL Seow:cheers:
PS. Is there a another shot of 7 with the forewing raised a bit more. If certain there is no upper cellspot ID confirmed.

I think it is OK. By blowing uo the pic I can see the place where the upper spot should is exposed & empty.

The rather rounded forewing & underside colouration also matched, so I am fairly confident it is Caltoris malaya.

YK ,

Can you start a new thread and number the shots to be identified , this will make it easier for Dr Seow and the rest to follow?

Cheers!
