Dr Seow,

Need your help again. Is this Curetis saronis sumatrana ?

It is Curetis sperthis.

The tiny black dots indicate the bulis group.
All the others, bulis, santana & felderi have the forewing band more slanted. See santana below.

This one have the forewing band more parallel to the termen.

TL Seow:cheers:
PS. Another example of C. sperthis which looks different.

PS2. The slant of the band in bulis/santana is strong. It is possible in some examples of felderi the slant may not be so strong, & so may cause a bit of confusion.

This one has the palpi spotted whereas the palpi of felderi is white & unspotted.
Below are examples of felderi. Note the 2nd has the band less strongly slanted.

The upperside of C. sperthis is very variable & can look like bulis or santana.

To confirm, look at vein 3 on the forewing ( the one just above the kidney-shaped spot.).
The forewing band cuts vein 3 nearer to the termen (outer margin) than to the base at the forewing cell.
The point of intersection is the black stria at the outer margin of the band (not the whole width of the band.).

TL Seow:cheers:
PS. The 2nd confirmation is that the hindwing costa (all of space 7 & above here) is all black.
PS2. C. santana showing forewing band (outer black stria) cutting vein 3 nearer to base than termen.
