View Full Version : Dark & Ugly from Yangon

I was in Yangon for work and managed to squeeze some time out for butt hunting. But instead of shooting in a park, I walked pass a rubbish dump under some shades and found several types of "Evening Brown" (Melanitis) puddling there. So end up with this ugly series :prrr: . These Browns really are hungry and keeps coming back. However, they are very skittish and camouflage well on the grounds and among the litters. I have not gone through the ID but it seems difficult for me. Furthermore, I'm not sure if all are Evening Browns. Appreciate some help on the ID. Thanks.:cheers:

Wow, Chng, if they are all the same species, then it certainly is a variable one. I don't notice variation like that on those in northern Australia.

Yes, they are all the same species, which is one of the most variable species I know. Common Evening Brown (Melanitis leda).
