View Full Version : id for a bunch of miletus

Here are some of the miletus species I observed recently.


The first two pictures are of the same butterfly, which I believe to be miletus symethus. It was found at USR.

I have no idea what species the second one is. It was observed at the Zoo, fluttering around a Flacourtia inermis tree. The pictures are highly cropped.
The last was smaller than the previous, but it was also fluttering around the same tree.

A good effort to get the upperside views.

1 ( 1 & 2) Miletus symethus female.

2 (1 ,2 , & 3 ) Miletus biggsii female note abdominal tip).

3. Spalgis epius female. Rounded FW with typical squarish spot.

Sorry for the late response - I had to reference c&p4 from the library to note down the differences between the species. :)
