1. Astictopterus jama.
This species have the palpi (labial palps) strongly protruding in front of the eyes.

2. This has been shown before & at that time I thought it was probably Caltoris sirius.
The two are both males .
In the 2nd pic the FW are two fairly large cellspots; in the 4th pic (2nd male) the angle is so steep that there appeared to be one cellspot.
The Caltoris species that can be excluded.
FW without any cell-spot.
1. C. kumara.
2. C. malaya (sometimes with small cellspot.)
3. C. philippina
4. C. plebeia.
5. C. tulsi.
6. C. confusa.
Species with one or two cellspots that can be eliminated.
7. C.canaraica. Underside with pale area.
8. C. tenuis. Body with greenish hairs
9. C. cormasa . Upperside cellspot tiny or absent ;underside HW deep rusty red brown.

10. C. brunnea : underside deep purple- brown; upperside with a brand.

11. C. cahira ;underside HW overlaid with dark chocolate brown.

12. C.aurociliata; FW with a large lower cellspot; apical spot one or absent; cilia yellowish
These leave only two species left.
C. sirius; FW with 1 or 2 small cellspots; FW spots typically narrow (like Pelopidas agna); underside ochreous.
No definitive pix on the web.
Caltoris bromus ;relatively common & widespread.
FW with 2 spots upper usually smaller; FW spots 2 & 3 more quadrate; Underside brown with ochreous overlay
Female underside HW almost always with white spots in space 2 & 3.(ie the extra spots)
Colour varies greatly in photos.
Male Singapore (note upper cellspot noticeable)

3 female from Taiwan. Note HW extra spots.

Based on the FW having two faily large cellspots & the shape of FW spots 2 & 3. it looks like C. bromus.
Based on the colour the more ochreous tone suggest C. sirius.
This is a tough one at the moment. It is either C. bromus or sirius.
TL Seow:Cheers.
