View Full Version : Jamides pura, an intriguing possibility.

Jamides celeno & pura are near identical on the undersides.
Jamides pura is much rarer & is a forest species.
It may still be extant in Singapore.

The pic below was taken in 2009 & suggest a female J. pura.
The features which suggest J. pura are:
1. The FW is not so strongly convex as in J. celeno female.
2. The two silvery sidebars on the HW black spot are equally long, whereas in celeno they are short or only long on one side.
