The first specimen's under wing is practically spotless at the fore wing costa while the second has one spot near the costa but the dark border along the wing margins suggest that they may be Eurema hecabe contubernalis. Are these aberrant forms of the butterfly? Need help in ID please.

1) Spotless:

2) Single spot:

Eurema can be very difficult.

The 1st have no FW cellspot; the cellend bar is merely a line.
HW with the spot in space 7 (subcostal) a blot.
This suggest it could be E. hecabe (losing 2 cellspots)
E. hecabe female.

It might also be E. lacteola missing one cellspot.

The 2nd has one FW cellspot; apical area unmarked; HW subcostal spot in space 7 elongate.
This looks to be E. lacteola.

E. andersonii Underside similar to lacteola but FW black border aligned differently.

The natural colour of E. lacteola is greenish yellow but the green here is excessive from colour imbalance.

TL Seow:Cheers.

PS. The valid pix of E. lacteola all shows the HW spot 7 to be a long sinuous streak similar to E. andersonii below; the FW black border slant towards the tornus (lower corner).

In E hecabe this spot 7 is typically a rounded blotch.

Conclusion : 1 .Eurema hecabe missing both cellspot (reduced black markings)
2. Likely E. lacteola.

Thanks Dr Seow! These Eurema are very challenging to ID!
