Dr. Seow , Request from Butterflies of North East India .

All four shots are from same individual, It look much like Idmon obliquans , but I am not 100% sure , as it will be a new record for India. :)

I found the answer , it is more likely a Koruthaialos rubecula cachara , of which the type specimen was captured from the same locality and the desciptive state that the band of this subspecies is restricted.

And the composite below clearing shows that the forewing band is not parallel to the termen , an ID key for the Idmon obliquans in C&P423814

Quite right it is K. rubecula.

Idmon obliquans. 1. Palpi 3rd segment long & needle-like . 2 Orange band parallel to termen (outer margin).

The difficulty in the Indian subregion is the confusion between K. sindu or rebecula.

K. sindu 1. Palpi 3rd segment short nub just protruding ; 2. Orange usually broader & reaching the costal margin.

K. rubecula 1. Palpi 3rd segment long & narrow ;2. Orange band usually narrow (male)& not reaching the costa.
