At Ban Lek Nai Pa Yai, a small village at circa 1700 mt sl, with a Ranger station and a very nice bungalow for rent, I spent two nights early April of this year using the location as base for the usual butterfly recognition around the nice mountain, but this time, sleeping there, I had the chance to use my 250w MV light.
The mountain was very dry, few wildfires too but, surprisingly, was very rich in moths, especially Sphingidae.

Post 2 . 4 & 5.
Both should be Ambulyx substrigilis. Correction : Ambulyx sericeipennis.
£ species A. substrigilis, pryeri & clavata are very similar with darkened veins.
A. substrigilis have a dark subtornal area ,usually with a black spot in space 1b.

ID Correction.
Post 2, 4 & 5.
These matched A. sericeipennis much better.
There are forms with the subbasal round spot small.
