In M. symethus the FW postdiscal spots are vague & the apices of both wings shaded with white.

Very difficult between M. mallus & chinensis.
.M. mallus. markings faint, faded on the FW; strong dark shading on the HW postdiscal band; mid termen marginal area of both wings shaded deeper brown.

3 M. mallus.male.

M. chinensis. Markings better defined; HW dark shading absent or light; mid termen marginal area barely shaded deeper brown.

4. female M. chinensis.

It is almost impossible to separate A, anita & narada based on the underside.
A. narada; usually have heavy black speckles.

I just noticed 4 comprised two different individuals.
The 1st is a female.
The 2nd with the long abdomen & claspers is a male.

The maleM. chinensis may variably shows a bit of whitish shading at the FW cellend.
