Both images from n Thailand. Both these two appear to show irregular jagged indentation to the HW inner margin. Spots not too large. Would these be M. perseoides? Hard to make out a tooth on the lower dark HW band as worn. Comments appreciated.

It would appeared that the 'tooth' mark at vein 1b of the dark discal line is absent in Thailand.

1 is correctly M. perseoides & 2 should be M. perseoides perhaps with a bit of a hybrid element.

Typical M. perseoides in Singapore.
1. HW indentation mark relatively shallow & irregularly jagged ,spots 4 & 5 rather large.
2. HW dark discal line with a tooth at vein 1b (maybe absent) a tooth as it passes the lower & upper arms of the cell.

eg. HW dark line with tooth at vein 1b, 2nd at lower arm of cell (near origin of veins 2 & 3), 3rd at upper arm of cell & occasionally a 4th at vein 8.
Singapore examples.

M. visala ;HW indentation often regular or less jagged,;HW dark line generally irregular without distinct tooth marks, or with a single tooth at the lower arm of cell.

Singapore. Probably of mixed blood .The tooth-marks are all flattened. Tentatively regarded as visala.

Thanks you for that. Yes an interesting puzzle. Here's another from Thailand which also shows the dark line petering out.
