Looking at images across the web, there appears to be quite a lot of confusion on separation of D. deo and D. sandaica.

D. sandaica is common across n Thailand, but deo appears to be rather rare.

I think this image (taken at Phu Suan Sai in n Thailand) is D. deo. Would appreciate confirmation of that. The edges of the hindwing appear much less crenulated than in my images of D. sandaica.

Many thanks

It's D. deo deo; female from the shape of the hindwings.

deo would be more easily confused with timora than sondaica because they both have a prominent orange band across the forewings(except in male timora)

It is actually a female Discophora timora.
male & female.

The outer margin of the FW dark band is highly zigzag in D. deo.

Many thanks for the replies. Very hard to tell these apart. Even from the images!
