View Full Version : Celastrina lavendularis - Confirmation of ID

Two images, same individual. Photographed at 1,700 metres on Doi Phu Kha, n Thailand. White halos on underwing spots and pale panel in upperwing I think point to this being Plain Hedge Blue Celastrina lavendularis. Although I find the spots are not as heavily defined as they could be. Could this ID be confirmed please.

Female Udara dilecta .Note very long labial palps (palpi).

U. dilecta 'spots small; upperside female with FW white patch;male may not have a white patch.
HW postdiscal spot 7 not darker than the other postdiscal spots below it.

Udara placidula. HW postdiscal spot 7 noticeably darker than the other postdiscal spots below it.

Celastrina lavendularis.
Spots always larger :HW all postdiscal & discal spots with white halos ;antennal white dot more prominent.
