A Miletus species photographed a couple of weeks ago at Chiang Dao, n Thailand, forest edge at around 900 metres.

The striking thing about this Miletus was its minute size. By far the smallest Miletus any of us had seen before, appearing around only 60% the size of "usual" Miletus most frequently seen here.

Looking at other images on the web Miletus gaesa patterning matches, but this would seem a rare species in Thailand. If not gaesa, this could only be a very small specimen of something more common.

Comments welcome please.

I t6hink it is the female Miletus mallus.

Typical M gaesa is generally brown but a form found in the hills have some whate on the FW.
It can then closely resembles M. mallus.
As M gaesa is found largely in peninsular Thailand, it is more likely to M. mallus.

Many thanks for the feedback. A very confusing group of butterflies.
