Respected Sir/Madam,
I am uploading one image for ask about identification. Species captured from Jayanta hill (North-east area), West Bengal, India in the month of April 2018.

I considered it is a Eurema simulatrix. Identification procedure as bellows:

1. UNF, apical area broadly rusty/dark.
2. UNF, having two irregular discal spots alongwith irregular cell-end bar.
3. UNH, having base spot in space 7
8. UNH, having prominent figure "8" in space 1C.

This is just for my view. You are requested to guide me alongwith identification.

Quite right in all.
Features 2 & 3 are particularly important. ie 2 FW cellspots & a HW basal spot 7.

The figure of eight spot may one or separated into two.

In most butterfly book the space you refer to as space 1c is space 1b following the preceding vein 1b.

The marginal space which I presume you will call space 1a is left un-named.
Space 1a being the space immediately after vein 1a.
There is no vein 1c in butterflies.

However, I do see a lot of variations in the names given to the spaces on the net.

TL Seow: Cheers.
