Dear Dr Seow,
Appreciate if you could help ID these Dacalana butterflies:
.1 Could it be a Long Branded Royal (D sinhara)? 25973
.2 This looks like a D sinhara too, correct? 25974
.3 Could this be a Assam Turfed Royal (D penicilligera)? 25975
Thanks a lot for the assistance.
Best regards,
David Chan

All three should be D. penicilligera.
The orange crown is small & there are two series of diffuse whitish spots on the HW.
The white band is typically narrow in this species.

D. vidura & sinhara are much confused.
D. sinhara is mainly Sundanian extending to S. Thailand.
The difference between the two are based on C&P4 (Butterflies of the Malay Peninsula).
D. vidura :Orange crown not obliterating the postdiscal line.
