Dear Dr Seow,
Appreciate if you could help ID these awls. Could this be a:
.1 Common Banded Awl (Hasora chromus chromus)? 26023
.2 White Banded Awl (Hasora taminatus malayana)? 26024
Thanks.
Best regards,

Both are Hasora chromus.
The underside is only shaded in dull purple brow.

In fresh specimens, the marginal white line reaches right to the top of the HW.
Hasora taminatus malayana or more often as a separated species Hasora malayana has a strongly blue-green sheen.

Dear Dr Seow,
Thanks for helping to ID them. I wonder why the colours of both Awls are so different. Thanks.
Best regards,
David Chan
