Dear Dr. Seow, please help me confirm identification of the following Bushbrown...

My suspect is Telinga lepcha kohimensis...your help will be highly appreciated...

It is Telinga lepcha but looks to be ssp. lepcha.

Evans described ssp kohimensis as having white unchecked cilia & very dark on both surfaces.

Unusual with the postmedial bent.

Ok thank you so much sir...but subspecies lepcha is not distributed to Northeast India... north-eastern subspecies seems to be kohimensis...and i photographed it in Meghalaya, North east India...

If you look at funet. ssp lepcha extend into Nepal & ?Bhutan & ?Assam.

Strange, I can open the link without problem.

You can assess by typing mycalesis funet.

Look for mycalesis lepcha.

Easier type into the 'goto' box at the top ,mycalesis lepcha .


Nepal is confirmed, bhutan & Assam tentative.

Okk thank you so much sir...actually during British India time, all the seven states of Northeast India was designated as Assam...so sometimes its really difficult to evaluate the exact type locality if it is given as Assam... nevertheless thank you so much for your kind efforts and help...
