ID help - Lascar

Hi Dr Seow,

Request ID help for this Lascar taken at USR, Singapore.

Is this Common or Extra Lascar ?

Pantoporia sandaka.Female.

FW grey submarginal band is fragmented into beads while the orange band is intact.
Male Singapore.

The male differences are obvious but the females can be confusing, not in this case though.
The two species in P. Malaysia.

Luckily we don't have to content with DSF (dry deason form).

Male FW postdiscal band(one with the round head) with the inner border running inwards towards the base along the dorsum (lower margin)
The 'foot of the band is larger in P. sandaka.
In addition P. sandaka male have a white speculum on the HW. This shows as a white line below the FW.

Male P. hordonia
Note large grey submarginal band.

Female. Note foot of FW postdiscal band is short. (Note this is not P. sandaka, grey band is wide & unterrupted.)
