When worn Burara can be difficult to Id.


B. harisa harisa.
Veins & interneural spaces especially on the HW finely streaked ochreous.
FW marginal zone paler.
HW discal patch broadly oval, composed of broader streaks.
HW cilia orange to about vein 5/6.

B. anadi anadi .
Veins especially on the FW dark.
FW with mainly the apical zone paler.
HW patch with broader streaks in the upper half in space 4, 5, & 6.
Ground colour duller brownish & orange cilia reaches vein 7.

B. jaina jaina.
FW usually with a white cellspot & both wings with postdiscal pale streaks often whitish.
HW with extensive orange cilia reaching vein 7.

B. oedipodea belesis.
HW with patch rounded in space 4 & 5, with extension above & below so that the dark ground form a double indentations.
HW with heavy orange red shadings, the orange cilia reaching vein 6.
