Theretra clotho & tibetiana.

It is not possible to differentiate between the two as they are practically identical.

The distribution of the two are slightly different & as far as I can see T. tibetiana has not been recorded in India.

T. clotho is found in Thailand but not T. tibetiana.

Theretra lucasii & latreillii.

T. lucasii was formerly treated as a subspecies of T. latreillii.

T. lucasii is oriental while T. latreillii is Australasian.

T. lucasii. Wings triangular with straight margins, like a jet fighter.
FW with extra submarginal lines beyond the dotted postmedial visible.

T. latreillii.
FW margin more convex & submarginal lines not visible.

Theretra boisduvalii & T. sumatrensis.

Two species were formerly confused as one.
Both have the postmedial running from the apex marked out by dots on the veins.

T. boisduvalii.
Upperside greenish brown.

I see from the Sphingidae series that T. tibetiana have been reported from Bhutan & Manipur.

They are practically identical.
Perhaps the pale line inner to the postmedial running from the apex is better defined in T. clotho.

2 & 4 where this line is very weak might be possible T. tibetiana.

13 is also probably T. tibetiana since the pale line adjacent to the dark postmedial is practically obsolete.

Other confirmed examples of T. tibetiana & clotho.
