Post 4.
This is badly off focus, but the shape & arrangement of the HW postdiscal spotss 5, 6, & 7 & the V spot in space 1b indicate it is A. epimuta.
https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-5yEN0kzk_Kg/UKpitX0NIdI/AAAAAAAAPjo/gnhhHhhjr74/s1600/AE_adult_02.jpg

Usually there is a tiny white spot in the cilia near the black spot.
This can be very poor in worn specimen eg.

Caltoris cormasa male.

Pemara pugnans

Caltoris can be a rather difficult genus to ID as much depend on the colouration.
In photos it can varies enormously.

Caltoris cormasa
Underside strongly red/purple brown, the HW usually darker.
Occassionally most of the FW spots may be absent except for spots 2 & 3.
Typical example.

Caltoris bromus.
Underside dark brown with an ochreous overlay. FW upper cellspot should be prominent. Female often with extra HW spots.

Caltoris cahira.
Very similar to C. bromus but underside HW dark chocolate.

Caltoris malaya.
FW without cellspot, so no upper cellspot visible from the underside.
Underside light rusty brown in male.
Probable male.

Very strange I can't see any pictures using my desktop computer but I can see the pics on my smartphone.

If you see pics of male & female C. philippina in C&P4 they both have sharp narrower FWs.
This one ? female have broad FW.
The cat is more or less like C. philippina but more smudged.

C. philippina have a greenish ochreous scalings on the underside.

There is another Caltoris, C. tenuis found in the north in Thailand that have greenish scales.
Probable C. tenuis.

You should try to get the upperside FW shot.
C. philippina have no FW cellspot.
C. tenuis have two cellspots.

Thanks Dr Seow.

I will try and get the upperside FW shot tomorrow before releasing the butterfly.
Is C. Tenuis in the Singapore Checklist?

Btw, I hope you are able to see the pictures on the desktop computer now :)

Many thanks again,

C.tenuis is not known from P. Malaysia or Singapore.

Note any blurry upperside shot as long as the spots are visible is sufficient.

Dear Dr Seow,

I managed to get the upperside shot of the FW and we can now, without doubt, ID this as C. Philippina, ya? :)
Here are some shots.
