Female Arhopala aurea.

The taila is short & stiff.

Two species are very similar on the underside.

Arhopala aurea.
UnH marginal spot 3 (above the tail) generally well-formed ^ triangular.
UnH submarginal band narrower & well-defined.

A. trogon is similar but strongly purple-washed.

The marginal spot 3 in UnH is flattened.
UnH submarginal band broad & diffuse.

Two other of the A. aurea group have a longer tail, FW band dislocated, & a more contrasted markings.
