Dear Dr. Seow,
Please provide id keys to differentiate between Mycalesis gotama and M. orseis. Mycalesis gotama is quite common in certain parts of this region and I was wondering if by any chance I got M. orseis too, since the location of the spots in these two species looks very similar.
Sharing some of the photos I have of M gotama (probably).

The three are Mycalesis gotama charaka.
Mycalesis gotama charaka.
Fw typically with spot 2 big on both wings.
FW spot 3 almost always absent, rarely if present, poorly formed.
Submarginal band wide nearly 3X that of the marginal band & the inner margin broadly dentate or crenate.
HW sub-basal dark line usually more deeply indented in the upper half.

Mycalesis orseis nautilus.
FW & HW with a full complement of spots; spot 2 not particularly large.
FW & HW spot 3 always present.
Submarginal band narrower, about 1.5 that of the marginal band, its margin sharply serrated.
FW white discal band often dentate on its upper half outer margin.
