Notocrypta species id - Penang Island - June 30, 2023 observation

Need your help to id. Today, I saw two similar looking in a dogfight. Looks different in wing size and ground color than Notocrypta paralysos varians. Thanks.

Notocrypta paralysos probably male.

There are four species in P. Malaysia in which the FW lacks subapical spots.
They may be divided into two groups.

A. FW sharp, more acute. A spot in space 4 may or may not be present.

A1. Notocrypta paralysos.
FW white band variable ,often broad. 0ften deep notch at vein 2 on the inner margin, & at vein 3 on the outer margin. 'elbowed'.
Underside FW white band not extending to costa or only narrowly.
FW white spot in space 4 almost always present.

A2. Notocrypta clavata.
FW white band relatively narrow, lightly notched at both margins.
Underside FW with the white band extending full width or nearly so to costa.
FW white spot in space 4 usually absent.
