I photographed this in Hala-Bala WS, on the Malaysian border in extreme southern Thailand, June 2023. The common Tanaecia species in s Thailand is T. pelea, but this looks different to all my images of T. pelea from Thailand, in subtle ways. I am worndering if this is T. palguna. I read that there are some differences in the shape and positioning in the submarginal arrowheads, but having no expeience of palguna I find this hard to judge. Comments on the ID welcome please.

This would be correct for a male Tanaecia palguna.

The three Tanaecia species can be tricky because of close similarity.
They can also be very different from region to region.

Tanaecia pelea male. Labial palps long needle like.
HW rounded . arrowheads nearer the inner border of the paler marginal zone.
Body built more slender.

Tanaecia palguna male.
Labial palps much shorter.
Stout built. HW more tapered.
HW arrowheads nearer the outer margin.
fW arrowheads relatively short ,penetrating less into the pale 'helmet' spots.
