This was photographed at Nam Nao NP, ne Thailand, 8 Aug 24. I can only make this A. atrax, but there are a couple of things about that ID I do not like.
Usually in atrax the prominent formwing discal band is even in width throughout its length and straight (not curved as in this specimen).
Usually there are 4 spots/bars visible down the edge of the forewing where the hindwing overlaps. On this one I only see three. Tornal area scaling looks as atrax to me.
Any comments on the ID please? Many thanks.

Agreed, it is Arhopala atrax.

The 3 in the atrax group.

A. ace have broad straight margined bands; HW mid cell spot is a band across its width ;in the other two it is a rounded spot.

The two A. atrax & alax are very similar.
Bands ca be narrow.

Arhopala atrax.
FW postdiscal band is composed of spots with irregularly rounded margins. ( discal =central, postdiscal =outside of central.)
HW postdiscal band is even more irregular.

Arhopala alax have more regular spots forming both FW & HW bands.
