Jamides bochus bochus.

The sharp spike formed by the white striae near the HW inner margin IDed it as a Jamides.
The FW postdiscal band is more or less dislocated at every vein, & the HW lunulate (crescent moon) submarginal spots are characteristic.

Prosotas bhutea,
https://www.ifoundbutterflies.org/sites/default/files/137_17671-539-58e4825cce173-1.jpg
The FW is raised high enough that it shows no band extending below the midcell bar.
This is sufficient to distinguish P. bhutea from P. pia which has a small band there.

Similar, N. beroe.
FW postdiscal band typically broken.

Possibly Halpe handa.

The subspecies formerly under H. homolea are now upgraded to full species.
All have the cilia chequered esp. FW.
Most have an upper cellspot.

Halpe handa.
FW cilia chequered.
FW without cellspots.
FW spot 2 & 3 widely separated.
Underside markings diffuse & ill-defined.
H. handa is surprisingly called the Indian Ace in Thailand.

The other species in the group which have no ce3llspot (usually)is H. filda the Absebt Ace.
This have spots 2 & 3 overlapping & underside marking better defined.

H. flava also looks similar but UnH interneural spots in space 4 & 5 are very small.
Also FW spots 2 & 3 are widely overlapping.

Probably Charaxes psaphon.

The four orange species can be extremely confusing.

Charaxes bernardus.
FW apical spots mostly conjoined.
FW distal half barely dark-shade except in banded form.
HW dark discal band shallowly undulate.
HW tornal twin spots free.

Charaxes psaphon.
FW apicalspots weakly separated.
FW distal half often dark-shade.
HW postdiscal dark fascia more undulate.
Hw tornal twin spots mostly within a ring, formed partly by the last lunulate postdiscal mark.

FW distal area barely dark.
HW postdiscal dark fascia narrow, mostly straight curving out at upper 1/4.
HW tornal spots free.

Neptis cartica.

N. clinia & cartica are practically identical in markings.

However, N. clinia is browner On the hW there is a small triangular patch of white at the base of space3. This is almost always present and diagnostic.
It can be seen in this enlarge image clearly.
https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiyBal1DbwLeu9xXpLFKK95hNHc9W3_OSZSyfgr5-Lgt5JkZvu5H5-b7NcVxfBsFpbx3-1muKG9SkrxDsHtWddvQp9yw7dGDIRP8IZs3ZwRgFPtwZtDZ9x5 VsLuNA-wayfDw-vBa_Zxxabf/w1200-h630-p-k-no-nu/Neptis+clinia+BV.jpg

In N. cartica the HW discal band is set higher & further apart from the submarginal spots
The band does cut across the base of space 3 & so does not create a small patch of white.

Jamides alecto male.
(Note .Possibility of two individuals here, ie image 1 being J. elpis.)

The Jamides in inndia have rhinner white striae.

If in SE asia & seeing the underside alone, I would have thought it is J.elpis but the upperside with the Fw black border & the HW marginal spots are clearly that of J. alecto.

J. elpis Upperside with clean margins (male).
Undersside white striae uniformly thin.

Acytoleois puspa.

Two features together ID Acytolepis.
1, FW with a spot 9 on the costa, just after spot 6.
2. HW with a spot at the base of space 7. (often like a tadpole with a tail.
Two species.
A. puspa FW postdiscal spot 4 & 5 at an angle with each other, sometimes almost at right angle.

A. lilacea. FW postdiscal spots 4 & 5 more aligned or nearly parallel.
