Though some of us may have noticed the variations of the white spot and extent of the thumbprint on Common Palmflys, I was wondering if the spots/thumbprint was "season" related or some other cause.
Those who have observed or shot the Common Palmfly over the years, may want to check the EXIF data for the date/month to see if the white spot corresponds with certain months of the year, and disappears during other months.
At AH this morning, I noticed that all the Palmflys that I saw (about 6 in total) did not have any white spots at all!
Here's a shot of a more cooperative one that I shot this morning. Compare this with Neo's shot (http://www.butterflypals.com/forums/showpost.php?p=22496&postcount=1)taken just yesterday. Also no white spot.
