The male forms of the Malay Baron seems to be quite variable when compared to the images in C&P4 and Fleming. C&P4 show the two male forms decorata and monina, whilst Fleming shows all 3 forms including form gardineri.
This shot of a male Malay Baron seems to correspond most closely to the form-gardineri, since :
it does not have a distinct blue border (form-monina) and,
it does not have the zig-zagged markings like in the female (form-decorata)
Have any of you shot anything which is similar or darker? The shot in Fleming doesn't show any blue, whereas this specimen obviously has some blue washes.
