Which Rapala ?

Shot this at SBWR today.
I think I have got the ID, what do you all think (except Khew) ? ;-)
Note : the upperside has some orange patches.

Wow, open book test ? either a male Rapala dieneces (Com red flash) or male R. suffusa (suffused flash), most likely the last one:thinking:

It looks more like a Common Red flash with entended orange tonal band, as compare to this Common Red Flash shot from BBP .


Earlier in the year I remember we also encountered the same ID problem with the Red Flash from SBWR.

I shoot something like this before at SBWR, more yellowish compare to normal red flash

Spotted at least 3 of this Rapala suffusa barthema (Suffused Flash).
So very likely that the first shot is a male Suffused Flash.

Here is another shot from SBWR which was IDed as a suffused Flash due to the yellow on the upper forewing that shown thru .

So If you have seen yellow on top than it is more likely to be a male Suffused Flasg
