Pompelon marginata

The Day Flying Moth, Pompelon marginata shot at Alexandra Hospital Butterfly Trail today. The caterpillars of this species have been found on the host plant Cinnamomum sp. and described in earlier threads (http://b-pals.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2991&).

The iridescent blue of the wings is very attractive and when it flies, the scarlet body also stands out from the dark blue wings.
