And another one for Roger to ID. This one was so obviously perched on the dark green leaf that I wonder if it was asking to be a predator's dinner soon. ;P

This moth looks like an arctiid n could b poisonous. It won't b so daring as to do that if it weren't.

Psilochira durioides (male)
Lymantriidae.
The illustration (http://www.mothsofborneo.com/part-5/lymantriini/lymantriini_4_4.php) in Moths of Borneo (pt 5) is overexposed and the specimen rather worn, so the black patterning is difficult to make out, especially when compared against this clear photo of a fresh specimen!
As Aaron noted, probably poisonous (hence the aposematic colour pattern and blatant posture).
cheers,
Roger.

Thanks Roger! I wouldn't have suspected that it looked anything like the one pictured in MoB.
Sorry that I neglected to add that this one was shot along the trails to the Poring Hot Springs near Mount Kinabalu. Hence it is a Sabahan moth. :)
