I?m sharing two ENV shots taken last Sat at Sembawang open grassland. I was delighted to see there were so many Cabbage whites and Tawny Costers flattering around the area and busying laying eggs on their host plants.

Nice weather but the strong wind was bad for macro shooters though :-(

Ben Jin ,

Great Env shots!

Glad to learn that they are doing well!

Despite the hostplant being present over a number of locations on the island. The Cabbage seems to be restricted to the North and North west sector. Other than Sembawang I managed to see a few on Chua Chu Kang side so far.

Thanks for the sighting news. Good to hear that these two species are still going strong.

Very nice pastel colours in your shots.

Good news that there is another colony of CW.
From what I observed during my last few visits, the number of CW at the usual location is dwindling.

More update on the location.

Visited the place yesterday and glad to see there were Leopard lacewing cats everywhere and had to do some transfer of the cats to ensure sufficient supply of food plant. Should be able to see more adult LLs in 1~2 week times

Sighting of the LL and cats at this location are attached.
