Could it be a moth cat ? Found on the palm tree.

The shape of the cat n its head made me think of a skipper. Furthermore, the foodplant is also typical of skippers, contradicting with wat Mr Khew said.;P

could be somewhere near Turnaca
The BMNH HOSTS database list members of this genus as feeding on palms, and Turnaca stigmatica occurs in peninsular Malaysia, so probably also in Singapore.
