Ubin 1 Sep

[Peacock Royal]

Went to Pulau Ubin this morning. Did not cover much ground as my girl was tagging along.We started moving west to the Marbah Hut then turned back and followed Jalan Batu Ubin and finally stopped at the Sensory Trail in less than 2 hours.

Saw quite a number of Dark Glassy Tigers along the way.

Here are the record shots for sharing (my two new additions if ids are correct).

#2 : Hypolimnas bolina bolina (Great Eggfly) - I think this is a male.

ID is correct. Did you see the upperside of the Great Eggfly? If no orange patches, it should be a male.

That generation of SL is gone by now. Need to catch the next generation.

Did'nt get a shot of the upper side but could see that there were no orange patches, some lumnious blue and white pathches instead. So that is a male Great Eggfly.

Yes, I was hoping to spot the SL but no sight of it. I suppose Neo is right to say that we have to wait for the next generation. In fact very few butts there today.

Usually by two weeks of first sighting, the probability being around is low, and by three weeks, I would say very very low. That's y need to go out hunting more often.
