A newly eclosed Atlas moth from P.Ubin today. Had a great time shooting this prolific moth with Khew & Bobby

Great shots, Wong! The last pose was the best for the upperwing shots eh?
After checking my notes, this is a female after all. The male's antennae are a lot bigger and appear wider and more feathery. Perhaps Roger can confirm.

Nice shots, Wong! Fortunately I got this shot too, thought I did not capture much today.
Cheers!

I bred this species back in England, and can confirm that she is, indeed, a female, and a very beautiful one as well.

Thanks Les. This one we discovered had just eclosed and was hanging on a leaf near her pupa. There was another one which took off when we went near it. Flew like a big bird or bat. Quite spectacular, as with each time I encounter this moth.

I've never seen such a beautiful shot of Naga's head! It is uncannyly (is this the spelling?) realistic.

Naga? Is it a type of cobra in thai terms? I never noticed the it looks like a snake head until you guys pointed it out ;-)

I apologise, Naga is the Buddhist and Hindu name given to to the King Cobra, who is totally revered here as a God, as it should be.

Thanks SK, I knew it was wrong, but I don't think I have used that word for 30 years!
