Is this a no brand? The plant looks like the no brand yellow plant. But I don't know why the butterfly doesn't seem to have the mottles of the no brand.

And any idea what lascar this is?...

The yellow looks like a very worn out CGY.:grin2:
The lascar is a perak lascar:)

Hi Ellen, hope you enjoyed your trip.
I can't help on the Eurema ID (the spots do appear rather faded) except to say that it most definitely is not the No Brand Grass Yellow. I think I am right in saying that all your local Eurema species, with the exception of the No Brand have what I call the 'dog-face' markings on the forewing upperside, which can be seen on your specimen.

Thanks very much Aaron and Les! Must be a very old yellow :P
I wish there was a better way to ID lascars... even reading C&P 4 on their descriptions doesn't really seem to help much... they all look almost identical!
Les, I enjoyed the trip lots... but I regretted not bringing my wide angle... think I could have taken more scenery shots with the wild grass blowing in the wind with a photographer in the foreground. :P

Thanks a lot for the clearer pic (at least clearer than C&P4)! :) Those outer edge lines are submarginal lines right?

No worries! Glad to be of help. Was actually trying to complete the lascar & sergeant section so i can focus on the rest.
I'm still lacking a number of them.
KY: BBB! The only regret for getting the 180mm is not getting it at the start, when i ventured into macro. Gear can help you advance quicker but still you need to know the basic.
Cheers!
