is 1 Taractrocera archias quinta ?
is 2 Euploea eyndhovii gardineri (Striped Black Crow) ? There seems to be many missing white spots.

I went to shoot at night & didn't get to see any butterfly. Quite a variety of flowers to shoot.
Can't help on the ID thou.
Cheers!

very difficult to shoot. Even with IS lenses. :hmmm: Lighting is very poor. Most of the time it's 1/6s or lesser but luckily with the constant practice from shooting butt. 24mm at 1/6s is manageable even 0"3-0"6s can be done.
Cheers!

#1 is not a Taractrocera, the apiculus shows up clearly.:)

Thanks for pointing that out, Aaron. I forgot to put it in yesterday. Visually I felt that Taractrocera archias quinta is most similar to this skipper that I shot, but the presence of apiculus says otherwise. Potanthus omaha omaha (Lesser Dart) is another possibility (and it has apiculus), but the markings differ a little too. Hence I am asking for help. :)
Happy new year Aaron, and I am glad that you have completed your homework. Enjoy your new year! :gbounce: :jumjoy: :redbounce

Keyang,
The crow is a Euploea eyndhovii gardineri (Striped Black Crow) with a few spots missing , likely an aberration on this individual or due wear and tear.
Cheers!
