Went to Perak last week and nailed these these butts which I have difficulty to ID them. Would appreciate if forumer can help me to ID them. Thanks! :cheers:

The first one is a decoy that many BC members here had been 'fooled'. So you're another one to join the gang. :bsmile: Do a keyword search for Callidula and you will see what it is.

The 2nd one is a Vagrant (Vagrans egista macromalayana), a relatively common butterfly in certain areas in Malaysia.

The 3rd one looks like a Common FourRing.

Very nice photo of Vagrans egista. I have only come across it twice here on Samui, but did manage a decent photo of it when I visited Genting Highlands at c.1200m. Is this species more of a montane one, I can not remember it being stated as such?

there was once i chased it for about 1 hour plus trying to get a shot in wet knee high undergrowth =P
