Description
Flos fulgida singhapura has a short stumpy tail and brassy green scales at the eyespots of the hindwing. The males are a rich, deep violet blue on the upperside. Females have a broad black border on both the fore and hindwings.

This species can be separated from the almost similar Flos diardi capeta in that the spot in space 7 of the hindwing underside is continued as a broad band across the cell, but separated from the spot in the cell in Flos diardi.

Habitat & Habits
The genus Flos is closely related to the Arhopalas and species of both genuses can be found in the same localities. In Singapore, four of the Flos species can be found in the forested areas of the nature reserves. Occasionally, individuals can be found flying rapidly around the blooms of flowering plants as they feed. The butterflies are rare and usually only individuals are encountered.
