Description
This species is one of the several Eurema species that is commonly seen around Singapore. To the uninitiated, the common yellow butterflies that seem abundant in Singapore are all of one single species. That is not true. There are at least 5 different species and only with careful examination, will one notice that not all the species are similar. Eurema andersonii andersonii is distinct in that it has only one cell spot on the underside of the forewing. This very indistinct characteristic makes it difficult to separate it from the other similar looking species in the field.

Habitat & Habits
This species is usually found in the nature reserves, unlike its more common cousin, Eurema hecabe contubernalis (Common Grass Yellow), which can be found even in urban areas.
