Description
This species belongs to the genus Eurema which features a number of bright yellow butterflies found here in Singapore. A total of 6 distinct species are recorded here. As the butterflies look quite similar in flight, butterfly watchers tend to refer to them as the "Grass Yellows". Being so common, most observers normally pay them little attention.
This species which has two cell spots on the underside of the forewings, has a large, almost cleft, reddish brown apical spot on the forewing.
Habitat & Habits
Males of this species, like many Pierids, like to feed at roadside seepages with other species of the Papilionidae and Nymphalinae butterflies.
