Description
This Hesperiid is one of the species which was not recorded in Singapore by the earlier researchers. This species, Tapena thwaitesi bornea, is therefore a new record for Singapore. It flies rapidly and settles in the usual "Snow Flat" type of posture, with its wings fully outspread.
Habitat & Habits
The upperside is dark brown, obscurely marked with dark blotchy spots. The forewings feature two to three small white hyaline subapical spots.
