Description
The Malay Viscount is a common butterfly found in the nature reserves in Singapore. It stays close to the confines of forested areas. The butterfly glides in the typical Tanaecia fashion and can be seen flying even in the rain.
Habitat & Habits
The zigzag-shaped markings on a brown background is similar to many species within the genus and also its related genus, Euthalia. This similarity can sometimes lead to confusion in the identification of this species in the field.
